I come back to your message including the report about the meeting of 5 federations in Paris on 6. July 2016.
I just want to add some clarifications or comments.
1. Coordination meeting of national federations in Cracow:
I had a formal commitment by the manager of PUDS to organize a SNF in Cracow.
Unfortunately he informed me before the Presidency meeting that PUDS board finally advised negatively on organizing such an event.
So we had to skip this event despite a former announcement made by EUROMETAL in good faith.
2. Acceptance of new members
Following Art 6.4 of our statutes the Presidency decides on the applications for regular or associated membership, and not the Director General as you misguidingly state in your report.
The General Assembly decides on the exclusion of members from the federation (Art.5.3)
On 21. June 2016 I informed by mail the entire Presidency about the application of Van Heyghen to become a member of EUROMETAL.
So I did what is required by the statutes.
As a matter of fact, till today 22. July I got no negative comment from any Presidency member regarding this specific application, neither an information that Van Heyghen is not a member of any national federation.
To stay in line with what has been said during last general assembly and in order to support EUROMETAL Presidency when member applications arise, I strongly recommend that national federations inform and update EUROMETAL Presidency about their member lists, so that at the start of any application EUROMETAL Presidency may avoid any misunderstandings and MAY decide based on complete information.
3. Future role of coordination meeting of national federations..
I completely support your proposals regarding task forces.
To support these initiatives EUROMETAL is about to finalize an INTRANET which may be used and be open to the contributions of association and other executives.
At last EUROMETAL Presidency, Ricardo shortly demonstrated the functions of the future INTRANET facility.
Regarding the task force CEN Issues, a first set of files have been already uploaded and have been displayed during last Presidency meeting
Ricardo will soon inform you about the functionalities of the EUROMETAL INTRANET and provide you with access instructions.
INTRANET facilities to support the task forces will be ready and operational at the latest early September.
4. Next Meeting.
I will be waiting for proposals regarding the agenda and then making proposals regarding where and when.
5. Last comment:
I would recommend that federations have a look at our new website and inform about what you recommend what should be added as information or topic and what would be rather recommended to be deleted or amended.
I put EUROMETAL Presidency in copy of this mail and of your report.
