247TailorSteel projects a further site in Germany

247TailorSteel, a strip processing centre group with operations in the Netherlands and Germany, is expanding its activities in Germany further, Kallanish has learned.

The new production facility will be built in Langenau between Stuttgart and Munich, and will initially have a capacity of 4 laser machines, 3 tube laser machines and 4 bending machines. The 15,000 m2 facility is to be built on a site of over 36,000 m2 and will eventually employ 200 people. Further machinery will be installed in phases in Langenau, bringing the total capacity up to 12 laser machines, 10 tube laser machines and 12 bending machines. Construction is scheduled to start in the second half of 2021; the factory will be fully operational in the autumn of 2022.

A few months ago, 247TailorSteel opened a new facility in Hilden close to Düsseldorf. That factory is now up and running, serving customers in North Rhine-Westphalia and the surrounding regions. Langenau will be the third German site of 247TailorSteel, which is based in Varsseveld in the Netherlands, with German sites in Oyten near Bremen, and the relatively new facility in Hilden. On a total working area of 36,000 m2, the company so far operates 37 laser cutting machines and 20 edging presses.
