Alleima has appointed Carl von Schantz as new president for the Tube division and member of the executive management, Kallanish learns from the Swedish speciality steelmaker.
Von Schantz will assume the position as of 17 November at the latest. He succeeds Michael Andersson, who will leave the company as of June, as previously announced.
Carl von Schantz was born in 1973 and comes most recently from Atlas Copco, where he has been holding the position of president for the General Industry Tools and Assembly Systems division. Nigel Haworth has been acting president of the Tube division since February, and will continue in the role until von Schantz comes on board.
Alleima is the former Sandvik Materials Technology, the steelmaking division of the larger Swedish industrial conglomerate Sandvik. The steel activities were split off from the parent group in September last year under the new name Alleima.
