DSV officially completes DB Schenker takeover

Effective May 1, the Danish logistics giant integrates the logistics division acquired last autumn from Deutsche Bahn for €14.3 billion.

According to German media reports, the historic brand of the newly acquired company might soon be phased out.

The multi-billion euro sale of DB Schenker to Danish logistics powerhouse DSV is now finalized and officially took effect on April 30. Or rather, it takes full operational effect on May 1, following the formal signing by notaries and the Danish group’s management, concluding a process that began last autumn with the initial announcement.

With the acquisition, valued at approx. DKK 106.7 billion (approx. EUR 14.3 billion), DSV is doubling its size and establishing the foundation for future sustainable growth. The combined company will have a revenue of approximately DKK 310 billion (approx. EUR 41.6 billion) and a workforce of close to 160,000 employees across more than 90 countries.
