The European Commission has imposed anti-dumping duties of up to 62.3% on flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel plated or coated withtin originating from China.
The commission announced the final ruling in the Official Journal of the European Union on 28 May, with the measures entering into force thefollowing day.
Products subject to the anti-dumping duties fall under the EU Combined Nomenclature (CN) codes 7210 11 00, 7210 12, ex 7210 70, 7210 90 40, ex 721090 80, 7212 10, and ex 7212 40 (with TARIC codes 7210701015, 7210708020, 7210708092, 7210908020, 7212402010, 7212408012, 7212408030, 7212408080,and 7212408085).
The European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation into the goods in question on 16 May, 2024, following a complaint lodged by theEuropean Steel Association on 2 April, 2024. That was followed by the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duties on tinplated products originatingfrom China on 14 January, 2025.
The dumping investigation period for this case was 1 April, 2023–31 March, 2024.
