This Tuesday EUROMETAL visited ArcelorMital’s Stockholding and Steel Service Center facilities in Reims, France.
Ricardo Silva was welcomed by the president of ArcelorMittal Distribution Solutions France. Mr Fabrice Guazzoni explained the origins of Steel distribution in Reims until it became an unavoidable and central place for all the distribution of Steel and other metals throughout France, thanks to its strategic location, served by the waterway, the main arteries of the motorway and connection to the railway network.
Mr Guazzoni also addressed developments in terms of digitization with the hub of the e-steel commercial platform, also located in Saint-Brice-Courcelles, Marne department.
After visiting the aluminum and stainless steel warehouse, the visit continued with a visit to the Steel Service Center connected to the Canal de l’Aisne à la Marne guided by Mr Thierry Coutant, head of sales Arcelormittal France and Wallonia ending with a brief meeting with Mr Emmanuel Gatignol, CEO of the SSC France-Wallonie cluster.
