Germany’s steel scrap association Bundesvereinigung Deutscher Stahlrecycling- und Entsorgungsunternehmen e. V. (BDSV) announces the departure of Daniela Entzian as its managing director. She is succeeded by Guido Lipinski.
Entzian was with the federation for eight years, initially in charge of market affairs, and became its managing director in early 2021, succeeding Ulrich Leuning. She was a speaker at Kallanish’s Europe Steel Markets conference in Antwerp in 2018.
Following her departure, Guido Lipinski has taken over the role effective 1 April. He has been with BDSV since May 2012 in the role as legal consultant. Earlier, he had gathered insight into recycling as legal advisor for the federations of the wood and furniture industries in North Rhine-Westphalia. He will maintain his previous role at BDSV and will also keep responsibility of the working group for car dismantlement.
Entzian’s responsibility for market and raw materials, which includes the federation’s monthly pricing monitoring, will be assumed by David Kämper, BDSV notes.
