Duferco establishes a new company for renewable energy

Duferco Group has consolidated its energy transition activities under Duferco Renewable Industries. Francesco Del Pizzo has been appointed CEO of the new company.
Duferco Group has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary holding company, Duferco Renewable Industries, for its renewable energy and energy transition-related industrial activities. The company will be responsible for developing and investing in renewable energy assets, as well as industrial and manufacturing operations.
The group aims to bring its expertise in the energy transition, financial resources and industrial assets under a single structure to strengthen synergies across its activities. Francesco Del Pizzo, who has been appointed CEO of the new company, will also join the board of directors of Duferco Group’s holding company.
Duferco Chairman Antonio Gozzi said the energy transition requires capital, technical expertise and an industrial vision, adding that the new structure aims to develop infrastructure and technologies that support Italy’s competitiveness and energy independence.
Founded in the steel sector, Duferco Group now also operates in energy, maritime transportation and innovation. The group’s consolidated revenue for the financial year ended September 30, 2025, rose 46% year on year to USD 26.9 billion. The company said the increase was driven by higher trading and distribution volumes in its Energy Division, as well as growth in its steel activities.
