Polish steel rebar and wire rod prices were unchanged during the week to Friday November 14, with muted demand from key sectors impacting the market, sources said.
“It’s not a good time for the construction industry,” one trader source told Fastmarkets, adding that demand for properties in Poland remains affected by high interest rates.
Other sources said demand volumes remained stable, with no significant change observed in the market.
During the week to Friday, estimations of workable levels for wire rod were heard around 2,580-2,650 zloty ($706.73-725.90) per tonne CPT, the same as in the previous assessment period.
Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel wire rod (drawing quality), domestic, delivered Poland was 2,580-2,650 zloty per tonne, unchanged week on week.
Polish rebar prices were also stable in the week to Friday.
Estimations of workable levels were heard at 2,420-2,450 zloty per tonne CPT, stable form the previous week.
